For those that enjoy walking the campsite is surrounded by a network of footpaths, the most popular being to the famous Glastonbury Tor (¾ mile) and to the town itself (1 ½ miles from the), but if you are a keen walker there are many more to choose from.


The Old Oaks is also an ideal base for bicycling. Some excellent cycle routes, many quiet country lanes and the natural beauty of the Somerset levels make the area perfect for exploring by bike.


The Somerset nature reserves at Westhay and Shapwick are a must for anyone that enjoys the outdoors and are just a short bike ride away.
