Daily Minibus Service
As promised in our guest feedback review, we've just negotiated an excellent deal with local taxi firm DNA Taxis to provide a daily minibus service into Glastonbury, Street & Wells during our busier times. The new service starts on 1st March and prices start at just £1.75 per person for a trip to Glastonbury - that's loads less than a taxi. Full details can be viewed here.
Announcing our Customer Loyalty Club
Launched in November was our Frequent Visitor Loyalty Club. We wanted to reward those guests who stay with us the most by giving them money off future stays. There are 3 levels - bronze, silver and gold giving 3 levels of discounts all year round. See more
We've gone mobile!
Launched in Dec 2011 was our mobile device friendly website. This means that you can view the main pages of our website from your mobile phone or ipad in a format that's easy to read and not so teeny you'd need a magnifying glass to see it! And there's no need to type the new web address in, just use the usual one, or type The Old Oaks Touring Park into Google search, and your mobile device will automatically pick up the new website; clever huh? So now you can search availability, book online or check out the latest news all from your mobile phone.
The results of the Old Oaks Guest Feedback Survey are in
Throughout 2011 we've encouraged all of our guests to complete one of our feedback surveys. All entrants were entered into a prize draw to win a 3 night and 7 night holiday. We've now collated all the results and can announce the winners, plus give you full details of what our guests have been saying, and most importantly, what we intend to do about it. New second toilet block
Work on our shiny new toilet and shower block started on 3rd October and is progressing well. We very much hope for work to be completed by May 2012 but will keep you posted. More details about the new block can be viewed here.

Old Oaks produce boxes - we do your shopping!
Many guests have commented that they'd like to see more fresh fruit, veg and produce in our campsite shop. Over the past 26 years we've tried hard to stock all the essentials for the modern day camper or caravanner, however, the one area we've always struggled with is stocking fresh produce. The majority of guests either bring the bulk of their food with them, or will visit the local supermarket to stock up (nothing wrong with that, I admit to doing the same when I go on holiday) but the result is that we're consistently left with soggy veg, brown lettuce and wrinkled fruit!
In an effort to combat this issue, reduce waste and at the same time help support local businesses, we've introduced our new Old Oaks Local Produce Boxes.
