Pitches for Tents
Our grass pitches are non-electric and numbers are limited.
However, we're finding that a growing number of our guests are pitching their tents on our hard standings and loving it!
The obvious advantage of this is that a hard standing provides an all weather pitch with no worries about wet grass and muddy area. Other plus points are that pitching on our hard standings provide a warmer tent with a lot less bugs!
If you're concerned about the gravel damaging your tent, there's no need. This has never happened. However, for peace of mind we can provide an extra protective ground sheet free of charge if required (security deposit required).
You will need to use rock pegs (available in any camping shop).
Pitches for tents, caravans, motorhomes and RV's
Spread over 10 acres, The Old Oaks has been beautifully landscaped to create very generous pitches which are nearly all separated by shrubs and trees to ensure a sense of privacy and space. Click on the site map on the right to see more. Our park is separated into 6 areas, all with their own unique appeal:
NB - In order to preserve the peace and quiet that our guests expect we only allow one unit per pitch and 2 people per unit. The only exception to this is where parents or children (18+) share a unit and then a maximum of 4 people are permitted.
The Walnut Circle has 12 large Super Pitches, positioned around a large circular grass area with fabulous views across the site and the Mendip Hills.

The Walnut Terraces comprises 15 hard standings with electric, one of these is a Super Pitch (13). Beautifully landscaped and terraced for great views.

The Orchard is a delightful area and home to a mix of grass pitches, super pitches (1 - 6), hard standings(18 - 21) and 3 Cabins. The pitches encircle a lovely grass area with apple trees.

The Birches is another lovely area with generous pitches, consisting of 1 grass, 7 hard standings with electric and 3 Camping Cabins. The bottom of The Birches is an ideal spot for those who wish to be close to the amenities block.

The Top Oaks consists of 23 hard standings with electric, 7 of which are Super Pitches (11 - 14 and 21 - 23). A huge grass area dominates the centre of this gorgeous area. Fantastic views.

The Lower Oaks consists of 22 hard standings with electric, 17 of which are Super Pitches (1 - 8 and 14 - 22). Again, a large grass area in the centre. Fantastic views.
