28th May - 31st May- Royal Bath & West Show - Shepton Mallet. The country's biggest rural festival and there really is something for everyone, from food lovers to families and farmers to fashionistas! Over 600 trade stands to the National Cheese Awards and the UK’s biggest cider competition. Chance to experience canoeing, visit an art exhibition, sample some of the best British produce, see birds of prey in the or watch some of the finest animals in the country.

7th - 10th Aug - Bristol Balloon Fiesta is now in its 36th year and is Europe’s largest ballooning event. It’s a spectacular, free, four days of fun. During the fiesta over 150 hot air balloons will take off from Ashton Court Estate at 6am and 6pm and light up the skies on Thursday and Saturday night with the famous nightglows.
