11th Feb - South West Model Show - Fleet Air Arm Museum, Ilchester South West Model Show - Now in its 16th year, Saturday 11th February promises to be the premier event in the South West's model enthusiasts' calendar, with over 2,000 visitors, clubs and traders expected to attend the Museum's Model Show in 2012.Over 120 traders and clubs will be exhibiting everything from model aircraft, boats, figures, tanks and dioramas. |

Sat 18th & Sun 19th Feb - The Bristol Classic Motorcycle Show is almost as old as the International though and, despite the name, is held near Shepton Mallet rather than in the Bristol Dockland Warehouse where it originated. Naturally given the time of year most of the action happens inside and well away from any possibility of snow and wet. Attendance grows each year, with plenty of room to expand, with more than 18,000 people descending on the halls each year. |

31st March & 1st April - South West Model & Hobbies Show - Bath & West Showground, Shepton Mallet - Bringing together the best in the world of model making, with 200 trade and club stands, demonstrations, flying displays, RC car racing, Model Boat, funfair, amusements and other attractions. 2012 Show is set to be the biggest with more displays, clubs and attractions. Incorporating a Model Railway Hall, a larger model boating area as well as fantastic indoor flying arena. |

9th April - Mells Daffodil Festival is held in the historic village of Mells, Near Frome. The whole village is transformed into a fun and exciting day out with something for everyone. 13th-15th April - The Motorhome Show - Bath & West Showground, Shepton Mallet. All the leading Motorhome makes will be represented from all over Europe plus some American recreational vehicles. 21st & 22nd April - Classic Car Show - Bath & West Showground, Shepton Mallet - The longest running and friendliest Car Show in the UK with an amazing collection of classics in the special classic car park. traders, autojumble and an auction of automobilia and classic vehicles by Charterhouse. |

26th - 29th April - Creative Crafts Show - Bath & West Showground, Shepton Mallet - The show provides the perfect opportunity to gather inspiration, pick up some new materials and exchange ideas and tips to try at home. All types of crafts are catered for at the Show including paper craft, beading, ribbon craft and embroidery. There is something to suit any expert or beginner with a wonderful variety of workshops. |

29th April - Apple Blossom Day at The Orchard Pig Orchards - A celebration of all thing Appley! See a breathtaking display of apple blossom at its height, with a huge range of apple varieties in 45 acres of orchards. Picnic beneath the trees, meet some orchard pigs and taste some of the award-winning apple juice and cider made from the fruit. Guided orchard tours Cider & apple juice bar, pig roast, followed by cream teas, and a Treasure Trail for all the family. |

6th May - Glastonbury Road Run - Its main event the "Round the Tor 10K" passes right by the end of The Old Oaks drive. The 10K event, one of the largest races in the county of Somerset, is a mainly rural course that undulates around the ancient and mysterious Isle of Avalon, starting and finishing within a stones throw of the alleged burial place of King Arthur within the grounds of Glastonbury Abbey. 3k, 5k and school runs also take place. Open to everyone. |

22nd May - Olympic Torch passes through Glastonbury on day 4 of it's journey. On its local journey through Somerset, the torch will depart from Ilminster, and amongst other places will pass through Yeovil, Somerton, Street, Glastonbury, Coxley, Wells, Shepton Mallet and Frome and Bath, before finishing in Bristol where a festival will be held in its honour. |

30th May - 2nd June - Royal Bath & West Show - Shepton Mallet. The country's biggest rural festival and there really is something for everyone, from food lovers to families and farmers to fashionistas! Over 600 trade stands to the National Cheese Awards and the UK’s biggest cider competition. Chance to experience canoeing, visit an art exhibition, sample some of the best British produce, see birds of prey in the or watch some of the finest animals in the country. |

Sunday 3rd June - The Old Oaks Diamond Jubilee Charity Tea (& Cake) Party at The Old Oaks. Details are still being worked out but there'll definitely be free tea and cake for everyone! Raffle, best hat competition, optional bring and share lunch, tea on the green, screening of the Queen's big day on the TV. Join in the fun, meet other guests and help raise a bit of cash for charity. |

The Air Station is notably home to the Lynx Helicopter Force, Commando Helicopter Force and the Royal Navy Historic Flight with its rare collection of naval aircraft. The air show will be commemorating 30 years of the Falklands Campaign. |
