The Glastonbury Abbey Medieval Fayre returns!
Set within the grounds of the Abbey, this event is one of the largest and most celebrated medieval festivals in the region. Visitors can expect a weekend packed with thrilling jousting tournaments, lively reenactment camps, and mesmerizing performances by jesters, musicians, and storytellers.
Attendees will have the chance to engage with over 200 reenactors showcasing daily life from different historical periods, explore a bustling medieval market with unique wares, and enjoy a variety of delicious food options from traditional fare to modern delights. Highlights include the Grand Medieval Joust, the fiery antics of What A Palaver, the captivating tales of storyteller Merry Matilda and even the mystery and magic of the alchemist! For those looking to try their hand at medieval skills, there are have-a-go archery and longsword fighting sessions, ensuring a hands-on experience for everyone.
Dogs are welcome at the event but be aware there are horses and loud noises including gunfire throughout both days of the event. Dogs must remain on a lead at all times.
