Ham Wall Nature Reserve – Dragonfly and damselfly guided walk

Ham Wall Nature Reserve – Dragonfly and damselfly guided walk. 25 May 2024 10.30am until 1.30pm

Learn to tell a common darter from a four-spotted chaser, or a large red damselfly from a banded demoiselle.

Join the team for a walk around RSPB Ham Wall as they see how many different dragonflies and damselflies they can spot, whilst learning more about their life cycle and behaviours. This is the time when four spotted chaser’s often emerge in good numbers on the reserve so it is a great time for spotting them!

A fun event designed to arm you with knowledge of the life cycle of dragonflies and damselflies, the different species you can see at RSPB Ham Wall and the wetlands habitat they live in.

Warm clothes and sturdy walking shoes are required. The walk includes rough and uneven grass paths unsuitable for wheels.

Dogs are not permitted on the walk.

Booking is essential – this is a ticket only event. Advance booking only.
