Can I book at weekends?
As per our contract with Buyagift and Red Letter Days, vouchers may be used for mid-week bookings only (Sun to Thurs) and cannot include Friday or Saturday* (see exceptions below).
Can I book at any time throughout the year?
Old Oaks is a very busy park and so most of the available dates allocated to third parties are low season (March/April/May/Oct/Nov). You may find a few dates for June/July/Aug/Sept, which are subject to a 2 night minimum and a supplement* (see more below) and we may release further dates for this period at our discretion if we have plenty of availability. This would only be done much closer to the time. Bank holiday periods and Glastonbury Festival period are not available to voucher holders unless a min of 3 nights are booked AND the full difference in value is met (see exceptions below).
Can I book my voucher directly with Old Oaks?
We are unable make a booking through our own system for third party sellers. All of our allocated availability is currently listed on the Buyagift / Red Letter websites and vouchers must be activated / redeemed first, and the booking made, on the Buyagift or Red Letter website.
Why is the availability showing on third party websites different to Old Oaks website?
The availability for glamping cabins on the Old Oaks website is not the same as it is on Buyagift or Red Letter. The main reason for this is because third party sellers demand a high commission for selling on our behalf and to allow bookings during our busy times can mean that we receive as little as 60% of the price we charge directly. Therefore, we allocate our low season and less popular dates in order to fill capacity.
We currently have a very limited amount of midweek availability on Buyagift/Red Letter sites in May and June, but have plenty of availability throughout March, August & September (2 night min with a supplement to pay), October and November.
Can I upgrade my cabin voucher to a stay in your other accommodation?
Subject to availability, this may be possible, and only if the full difference between what we receive for your voucher and our list price is paid. Note shepherd huts and lodges are a 2 night min and accommodation with a hot tub is 3 night min. We currently have very little availability for lodges and shepherd huts.
Exceptions and supplements
- Single nights on a Friday or Saturday are not possible at all, unless:
- A second night is booked and paid directly through us AND the difference between the amount we receive from BAG/RL (£43.20) and our list price is paid on your voucher night
- Two night vouchers may be upgraded to a weekend (subject to availability) by paying the difference between the amount we receive from BAG/RL (£43.20 per night) and our list price, per night.
We do understand that this may be disappointing for some, however, being a very busy site, we can only offer a limited amount of dates directly to third parties. Whilst we would love to welcome you to our park, we understand that the dates we have available may not suit your own plans. We understand it is possible for you to request for your voucher to be unallocated from Old Oaks, so that you can other try other providers, however, this must be done directly with the original seller.
