Discover the early medieval traditions of Pasch and the goddess Eostre, Anglo Saxon-style at Avalon Archaeology.
Learn the Christian and Pagan origins of Easter with a Treasure Hunt around the reconstructions and join in with some hands on craft activities, including wood carving and painting with natural pigments.
During your visit explore the richly decorated reconstructed Roman dining-room and the Anglo-Saxon longhall. Filled with hand crafted furniture and art, you will immerse yourself in thousands of years of heritage. There is also a reconstructed Viking ship and Iron Age roundhouse under construction.
Entry tickets to Avalon Archaeology can be purchased on the day at the welcome hut. The entry tickets includes free re-entry to the site during normal opening hours for the rest of the calendar year.
