Under the baton of Hitoshi Suzuki, the concert opens with the beautiful Violin Concerto by Samuel Barber. Known for its soaring melodies and lyrical warmth, the concerto moves from a gentle, expressive opening to an exhilarating and virtuosic finale, offering a stunning showcase for the evening’s soloist.

After the interval, the orchestra performs Symphony No. 2 by Sergei Rachmaninoff. This monumental symphony is celebrated for its lush harmonies, sweeping themes, and dramatic climaxes, creating a rich and emotional soundscape that has captivated audiences for generations.
